Super Amazing Week: Charlie

Hey Y'all,
Well this week has been super amazing!
Monday
Well we went bowling with half the zone. It was so much fun!!
Also we had dinner with Lauren. It was so much fun. I really enjoyed it.
Didn't do to much after that.
Tuesday we had District meeting! So much fun. We played 5 on the line. It was so funny. I was the last sister standing with 3 elders. After words we went to lunch and then went to work.
We taught a lesson to K____ and we where able to put her on date. We talked about the tree of life and baptism. It was a really good lesson. Then we went out and tried a few more people. Super fun. We had a member  come out with us to see a few more people as well. It was so much fun. We where able to have a wonderful talk with some of our investigators. They loved her as well. They told us that they want her to come back. That was so good.
Wednesday was just a weird day. We tried people but things didn't go as planned. We got a texted from a Recent Convert who was going to be giving a talk on Sunday and needed help. So we went over to help her out. Also we went over to see an investigator who has stopped smoking for almost a 2 weeks. After that we had a meeting at the Church. It took the rest of the night. But things went very well.
Thursday we went to Bloomingdale and saw some less actives out there. It was so cool to see them. They even invited us back again. So we spent almost the entire day out there until dinner. We had dinner with Lauren and Jody Creek! They made us BBQ! It was so good! We also had a wonderful dessert! We just had a wonderful time with them. Also we had both the English and Spanish Elders there and us. So they feed 6 missionaries all at the same time. It was just like a party!!
Well Friday of course was our Weekly Planning!  We where able to help Lauren as well with her talk because she was speaking as well. It was so much fun. After words we went to dinner with a less active and she invited some friends over who had some amazing questions about the Church. They asked about our family ward! They liked how we car about families in the church. We also talked about the Word of Wisdom and they felt the same way as we did. After we were done they told us we can come back to their place anytime. I was so excited! After words we went and visited a few more people and then went back home.
Saturday we had a BAPTISM!!!! It was so amazing. The good thing the font was fixed so no one had to be baptized on their knees. Sp Sabrina White got baptized! The Baptism was at9:30 in the morning! But things went well as planned. Just to say  before the baptism Sister Wolisfer was practicing for her Musical number with Sister Poynter and she looked at me and said she can't do it alone. So I was put in the musical number 15 minutes before the Baptism. but jut to say it went great! We did "I Will" By Hilary Weeks. Just to say it was perfect for Sabrina. After the Baptism there was a ward activity at the park. So we drove over there and had some yummy food and got to talk to a lot of members we didn't know. After that we went and saw a new move in. It was so funny because she served in the Provo Utah mission and served in the same area where Sister Goade lives. Also she knows her too! That was just the best. Later that night we helped a member clean for a bit. I was put in the Kitchen! And yes I had a fun time cleaning it. One of the places I am good at.
Sunday was just wonderful. They had 3 recent Converts talk about how they became a member of the Church. And just to say it had been all of the Sister Recent Converts. I learned so much from them. It was so cool to hear some of their experiences. After words we went and had more amazing lessons after church. Just to say it is so easy for missionaries to spot out another missionary car. When we got back to our car we knew the Elders where around. Just to say today was just amazing. We had some more members feed us again with all the Missionaries in Pooler. It was so good.

Well just to say February is almost over and this is so crazy! I can't believe it. The mission is flying by so fast! I am loving every sec of it.
Also I am learning things that I didn't think I would ever learn ever on my mission.

I love y'all! Thanks for all y'all do. Have the best day of y'all s entire life.
Talk you Y'all next week! If you have any questions for me feel free to ask!

Kallie and Lonnie loved to perform this for their item during Family Home Evening. It usually irritated their father to no end.  They are funny, though.

A crazy week! February 22, 2016

Well Hey Y'all,
Well I just want to say, Didn't February Just Start? Just to say Time is flying by so fast? This Transfer is almost over!
Monday:
Well to put what we did was just get ready for Zone Conference! Time went by fast.
Tuesday:
Today was fun we had a lot of lessons. One of our investigators has been working on not smoking and she is doing so well. So loves when we come and visit because she loves that we can keep her busy and not smoke.
Well just to say our Recent Convert Lauren texts us and asks us if she can come out with us. Who does that? We said sure! And went to her house and she took us to our next appointment. Just to say she is amazing! I love her.
Wednesday
We had exchanges and I got to go to Savannah!! (yep mom I went to Savannah!)
It was so much fun. We met some amazing people. During dinner the members had us to a little game out side that involved throwing a knife at a tree. Just to say it was so much fun. I enjoyed it so much. Well after words we went to the church and had a meeting and then we went out teaching! So much fun.
Thursday
We still where on exchanges and met this guy who said that we could come back. He has been though so much and told us that he wants to find the truth.
Well exchanges ended and I went back to Pooler. We where able to see some more people. Just missionary work. Some answered the doors and some didn't.
Friday:
Friday was Zone Conference! Went we pulled up and parked the car and said hi to Elder Finlinson and Sister Finlinson I just lost it. I just miss the people in Forsyth. So much is happening there that I heard about. Sister Finlinson and I had a wonderful talk. Just to say she is just like a Grandma to me. ( my missionary Grandma ) Well just to say Zone Conference was so amazing. I learned so much. When Sister Cottle saw me she said I made her feel like she was in Macon. I just thought that was just the best.
Well things went great at the meeting. Just to say I was writing a lot of notes. Also after lunch I was asked to say the prayer. When they got up to say that I was going to be saying the prayer; President Fussell looked at me and asked me if I was nervous. ( Just mouthing it.) It was so funny.
Well just to say President Cottle gave a wonderful training! It was so good!  There where things that he said that I have never really thought about. Things that I am going to apply to the rest of my life.
After our meeting we had pictures and it was fun. Just to say Sister Cottle Photo bombed one of the missionaries picture. Sister Cottle said she had so much fun doing that.
Also Elder Finlinson came up to Sister Poynter and I and told us we are getting a new car. He told us that we where switching cars with the Elders. So we got rid of our 2013 car for a 2016 car. Just to say it was the same one I had in Forsyth!! But her name is Rosy not Suze.
Saturday
We had our weekly Planning because of Zone Conference and exchanges!
Well just to say today was super fun because we had a baptism interview! just to say we have another Baptism!! This is so cool!
Well just to say we had Stake Conference and an Area of the 70 came. Elder Himes (Hymes) I don't know how to spell it. But he came. Also President Fussell came too and spoke as well.
Just to say the adult session was just wonderful. I learned so much from it.
Sunday
We had another Session of Stake Conference. Just to say Elder himes kept looking over at by bench. We had Lauren sitting by us. It was so much fun. Also there where a lot of things that where said in Stake Conference that was said as well in our Zone Conference. It was so cool! I loved it. I think it is so cool how Heavenly Father wants you to learn.
Well after words we had a New member meeting with Elder Himes. Just to say we had a couple of people there so we where able to attend. Well just to say it was so cool to see how they became members of the church.( Those around the stake.)
Well after words we went and had a Lesson with K__.  It went very well. Just to say wonderful things are going on.
Later that night we went out with Lauren and she told us that Elder Himes told her that there where multiple times that he was going to call on her. Both Sessions but he ran out of time. I told her that is the reason why he kept looking over at us both sessions. At first I thought he was going to call on me to do something; but it was Lauren.
Well just to say the plans didn't work as planned but we where able to talk about the book of Mormon with her and Family History!  Things are great.

Thought:
Continually studying the scriptures helps us keep our eyes, minds and hearts focused on the Savior, and as we apply and live the teachings found in the scriptures we become more like him.

I Sure do love y'all! I hope y'all have an amazing week. Remember who you are and what you stand for. Y'all are the best!
Have the best day of your entire life.
I love you!!

1 YEAR!!!!!! Charlie: February 16, 2016

Hey Y'all,
Well this week has been super crazy! Just to say great things happened!
Monday it was of course our day to prepare for the week. Well Just to say after 6 we went to see some investigators. We had a real nice talk about The Plan of Salvation! It was so good! I have never had it like that ever. They had so many questions that we where able to answer and they loved it. After words we went out and  saw Lauren! We had her baptism interview! It went well! Just to say after words we had a great talk with her and her husband.
Tuesday we had a great day. We had wonderful lessons with everyone. We even helped someone clean. I love cleaning! Mom you know me when I clean: I work so hard and get the job done.
We had dinner with some members. By the way they went to Utah State which made me smile. They can see where we live. (not the actual house but the street)
Well after words we went out and saw some more people. We even saw Lauren again! She is getting so excited for Saturday!
Wednesday we had an amazing lesson with Kim! I really felt like I am here for her a little. To help her understand things. She told me she loved how I explained things in the lesson. I felt really good inside. Well just to say we tried a lot of people, but plans didn't work out as planned. But we had an amazing lesson with Lauren on prophets, and obey the laws! I loved it.
Thursday we had Zone Training Meeting!  I loved it. I saw a few missionaries I knew. Also during one of the Training we read a part in the White handbook and a part stood out to me and I expressed my feelings on it and then they told me that is what President F. Really expressed on as well. I just thought to my self. The spirit works in wonderful ways.
After words we went to Lunch and sadly Chick-Fi forgot my order again. But I was the first one to get next. Well we had a nice talk with the missionaries! Then we went and helped the English Elders again with the ward roster! we have to go through over 600 names and see if they are still here or not interested anymore.
Also today was my Year Mark! Wow I can't believe I have been out for an entire year! Time flies by fast.
Well the rest of the day we tried a few people and then went to see Lauren again and talked about Service and missionary work. It went very well. Lauren told us see can't wait to come out with us once she is baptized. It made us laugh. We brought a member with us. And they just had a fun talk.
Friday was Weekly planning. We saw a few people. Today was a little slower. Things didn't work out but that is missionary work. But no work is ever wasted.
Saturday!!!! Well today was a super fun day. We went and had a lesson with Olivia! She is a recent Convert. We talked about missionary work. We talked about how we came on a mission. It was so cool to here that she went to the meeting in Macon about missionary work. The same one I went to and shared my experience. I loved it.
Well after words we went and talked to Lauren and finished up somethings. And talked about her baptism. It was so much fun. Also we had some laughs. Well after words we left to the Church to fill up the font and to get ready for her Baptism.
The baptism was a baptism no one has ever had before. just to say the font was draining while the baptism talk was going on. Also during the talk they where filling pitchers of water and poring it in at the same time. Just to say she had to be baptized on her knees. It was so crazy. I never ever thought that would happen in my life. Things went well. After words we talked for a bit. Then we went over to Michele's for dinner. We had a nice talk with her after words. Then we went and tried a few people.
Sunday was a great day. Lauren came and received the Holy Ghost. Also I was able to sing in Church. It went well. Brother Rainy came up to me and said that he has never seen so many people cry during a musical number. I felt a little bad but felt good all at the same time.
Well I got told by the Spanish Elders that they thought that the tempo was going to get a little faster but it just stayed the same. The song I sung was" Emma" from the Nashville band. This was the song that the Sisters where going to sing before I came but they moved it to a couple a weeks down and I got picked to sing it.
Well we had a good week! it was super fun. Later that night we went and heart attack less actives, investigators and some members in the ward. Just to say we did a lot of door bell ditching. We didn't want to get caught.
Yesterday we washed the car and tried a lot of people and then ended up headed somewhere and thought that Lauren should come with us.
After we had that lesson she told us that it was so much fun. And she can't wait to go again.

Transfers... Feb 1, 2016: Charlie is headed to Savannah, Georgia

Well how are Y'all doing this week?
Well this week went by super fast!
Monday we had such a wonderful time. We went to Macon and got to see where parts of 42 where filmed! It was so cool!! I had a fun time taking pictures! Also we went to a few other places bu things went great! After our P-Day Ended we had Family Home evening with John and Briana! Also we played clue! That was fun and near the end. One of the Elders went and used the restroom and Dixie opens the door and then the Elder says " Dixie what the Frick?" Dixie then comes by Sister Goade and I and says I'm Scared. Briana of couse says, "There's a lock." We all start laughing! It was a very funny night.
Tuesday we had District meeting. It was Elder Hiller's last one. So we had our trainings and closed with a prayer and then we started Elder Hiller's Funrell. It was so funny!
After that we had exchanges with the Warner Robin Sisters. I went again to Warner Robins! It was so much fun. I met amazing people again. It is so cool how others teach! Time went by so fast! I couldn't even believe it.
Wednesday we went tracting, saw Briana and Charles and the Sinclars! That was so much fun. We just did our normal missionary work.
Thursday we talked with Ms.Hoyt on the phone. Trying to catch up on things that we missed. We saw Briana again and tried a lot of others. It just didn't work how we planned it. We had the Finlinsons come out with us and we saw Sister Upshaw and Connie. It was so much fun. Before we left to head out. The Elders said they would bike because we where really short on miles. Elder Finlinson said that he was in charge so they could take our car for the night. After Connie's we waited for the Elders with the Finlinsons because they had our house key. While we where waiting hey gave us a gift. A Georgia neckalace with our birthstone and a C for me. They also gave a birthday card. It was just wonderful.
Friday we had our Weekly Planning! So we updated everything making sure it looked great because we didn't know if we may get transferd or not. Well later that evening we talked to Paulette and Shandora and when we went in we started planning for the next day and we heard a knock at the door. So I went and opened it and it was President and Sister Cottle. They went out with the Elders and Sister Cottle wanted to say hi to us before they went home. It was so much fun.
Satuday we talked to a few people. One who has been so prepared. We also went to see Ms.Fannie and she started singing to us. It was just the best! Then we went to see Sister Lackey, then Sister Upshaw and Bill and Bernice.
Well We found out who is staying and who is leaving! Well I am leaving Forsyth. I really loved it here. It truly is a wonderful area! I loved it so much!
Sunday was church and guess what 5 minutes before it started Brother Phillips comes up to me and says" Our 2nd speaker isn't coming." I thought for a moment and said to my self I can't give a 10 minute talk with only 5 minutes to prepare. Then he went on and said that he had one of the Elders talking for a bit and then he would have me bear my Testimony because I was leaving. Well I told me I would love to.
Well just to say I totaly cried. But that happens. Also I lost it in the closing prayer; knowing that I truly was leaving and that I probally wouldn't be in a group ever again.
Well we did a lot of saying good byes. Well our mission is doing something different and they aren't doing transfer meetings anymore. We just pick up our companion and then go to our new area. So they let us know what stake out of 5 we are going to be in. Well just to say I am going to be in the Savannah stake!! Woot woot!
So next week I will let you know who my companion is going to be and what area I will be serving in. I sure do love y'all.

Charlie and Sister Goade...she is really going to miss her!

She's home....Kallie arrives safely in Salt Lake City, Utah

Thursday, January 28, 2016

Can't begin to express how I felt when I saw that girl at the top  of the escalator.  We were standing there with several other missionary families and they all laughed when I shrieked, "Sissy!"  Since I was a missionary mom, I was allowed to be on the other side of the rope and immediately ran and hugged the stuffing out of my girl!  So wonderful to have her home.

Because Kallie's flight was 30 minutes early, Lonnie didn't make it to the airport so we met her at Sizzler in Bountiful.  We had a great time!  Kallie regaled us with tales from her mission while Lonnie added her two cents worth.  And of course, my two oldest daughters, had to perform "Pants on the Ground."  At least they waited until the parking lot to do that.  I'm sure their dad was rolling his eyes in Heaven.  :)

Trust in the Lord: Kallie, January 25th

Hello everyone!!

This has been such a crazy and emotional week!

Studies have been great! I have learned a lot about how I can make the
best out of my circumstances and how Heavenly Father is trying to
teach me to have faith, strength and allow myself to grow! It has been
great!

A great quote which I came upon was ' A great coach knows that teams
never stay the same; they get better or worse every day. A successful
coach consistently trains and prepares his team. The Lord has said
that we must be prepared and follow His instructions if we want to
succeed. This instruction entails lasting life lessons. A coach is a
teacher and is dedicated to helping team members correct mistakes so
they can strive for perfection. We receive direction that helps us
improve each day. Heavenly Father and the Savior have given us the
path to follow." Christ is our supreme example! As we continue to
focus that God is in charge that everything will work out!! :)

Sunday church was cancelled all over due to the snow and Ice! I was a
little bit bummed out but, we came back to our apartment and had
Sunday school by ourselves. The spirit was really strong as we learned
about the savior and testified of him! I love being a missionary,
carrying the spirit with me and sharing it with others!
It is such a privilege and opportunity!

Something fun that happened is week was that we had a worldwide
missionary devotional! It was so great! We learned a lot about the
fundamentals of missionary work and how to stretch to become better
Missionaries!

Well,  I am heading back to Utah this week. I have been pretty sick
lately and through lots of prayers and fasting the Mission President,
his wife and I have decided that It would be best if I take some time
to figure things out in Utah and then come back out! I just want to
thank everyone who has been such a great support to me while I have
been out! It has helped me get as far as I have! I love you all so
much!

I just wanted to leave you with my testimony that I know the Savior
lives! That he loves us! The whole point of this life is to learn and
grow, and do what is necessary to return to live with our Heavenly
Father. Jesus Christ, lived an absolutely perfect life, free of sin.
His perfection is INFINITE. Using this infinite perfection, he is
willing to make up the difference for my faults, as long as I strive
to take care of what I can. He didn't have to do this, but He loved us
enough to sacrifice His precious life in order to give us the chance
to live again! He  I am forever grateful to my Savior for sacrificing
to pay my debt. The wonderful news is that His sacrifice applies to
your debt as well, as long as you follow His direction.

Thought of the week:
Don’t quit. Don’t give up. Let God do His work in you. The greatest
tragedy is to miss what God wants to teach us through our troubles.”
We do not know how long we will live on earth or what Heavenly Father
has in store for us. We must trust in Him, make the most of each
moment, and use our talents and gifts to improve our lives and to
serve others. President Thomas S. Monson has declared:
“Though the storm clouds may gather, though the rains may pour down
upon us, our knowledge of the gospel and our love of our Heavenly
Father and of our Savior will comfort and sustain us and bring joy to
our hearts as we walk uprightly and keep the commandments. …

Love you all!!

Listening to the Spirit: Charlie, January 25th

Hey all Y'all,
Well just to say; it feels so good to email on a Monday again.
Tuesday after emails, Sister Goade and I took pictures by the railroad! That was fun! Then we had the evening with the Finlinsons. It was so much fun. We had plans to see Charles( Sister Sinclair's husband) when we got there her son was there. We helped him out with his concerns and all of the sudden Charles comes down stairs. It was so cool. We had Elder Finlinson talking to Charles about Cars! They both loved it. Well after a bit we went and saw Bill and Bernice.
Wednesday we had a World Wide Missionary Conference! IT was so cool! For the most part it was same things that we missionaries hear all the time, Work with members and less actives, listen to the spirit ect... But this time it was better because they didn´t just tell us what to do. They actually told us how to do it. It´s so much more helpful when they do that. I learned so much and what I want to use more in my teaching. It was so cool to know that all of the missionaries were watching it at the same time. That doesn't' happen. The only ones who weren't watching it was the ones sleeping. It was so cool also because I saw my Salt Lake City South Missionaries I served with on the screen. It was so cool. After words we went to Briana's and talked for a bit and then later on the day we went out to see Lareeta. See was a little sick so we made it a quick visit. We did the same thing with Tanisha; but she wasn't sick, she was just leaving. We ended our evening talking with Shandora and Bill and Bernice.
Thursday Sister Goade had an amazing experience about who we needed to see that day. So we tried a few people but they didn't' work. So we tried Ms. Fannie Green. It was a quick talk outside because she was going into town and she told us to come back the next day. Well after that we tried some more but I guess it was a little cold and no one wanted to answer their doors. Later we went to Connie's. She is amazing. Near the end of our visit she asked us next time if we would brake down the 13 Articles of Faith. Sister Goade and I looked at each other and smiled. Exciting news I finished the Book Of Mormon!!!!! I know that the book of Mormon is true. It truly has helped me out in so many ways each time I read it.
Friday was our planning day! (kind of) The good news I don't have my awful looking wart on my foot anymore. They removed it at 10 something. Well I really didn't get to see them remove it. It was on the wrong side. But just to say Sister Goade didn't like it that much. She told me in the car that she almost died seeing that much blood. Well just to say I was so grateful when I was out of that place. Well after the Doctors we went to the mission office to tell Sister Finlinson that it went well and asked if I should  go get the medicine they told me to get. She told me I really didn't' need to get it. Well they invited us to eat our lunches at the office because soon we would have our interviews with President Cottle. Well just to say we got a little weekly planning in while we where there. After interviews we went to Ms. Fannie's. On our way we got in a mini Hail storm. We talked with her about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. We got back and had dinner with Shandora and then went to Bill and Bernice. Just to say Bernice was so worried about me. Hoping that things went well at the doctors. I just love them so much.
Saturday morning we get a phone call from Bernice! She told us to look outside.
We open the blinds and guess what? IT SNOWED!!! (just a little) Also It was so cold all day! We where able to talk with Ms. Hoyt over the phone and Clifton! In the lesson with Clifton he looked over and said I looked so tired. Sister Goade realized that it was time to take the Advil. He said that made sense. After Clifton we went to Macon again! We where able to teach the Priest and Laurels about missionary work. We were told it was just a stake activity. When we got there we found out it was 5 stakes! I was so nervous! The cool thing was I had planned about what I was going to tell the youth. The first group it went well. I was able to say what I planned. The next group came and the spirit had me change plans. So I told my experience of how I can on a mission. It was so cool! I did that for group 3 and 4 as well but there where things added to it that I didn't even plan on saying. The spirit is so amazing! He truly knew what the youth needed to hear.
After words we where able to hear President and Sister Cottle speak to them. Just to say Sister Cottle got President Cottle to blush. It was so funny. I have never seen him blush before in my life. It was just a great experience. Also I felt like I was in the youth program again. We got home around 7:30. So we went to Sister Upshaw's and talked with her for a bit, then we went to Bill and Bernice's. It was so much fun.
Sunday was wonderful. We didn't have that much people there. A lot of the numbers came from the stake. We had President Applebee, Bishop Kidd, Stake Primary Presidency, High Councilor. It was cool. We thought we where going to become a branch; but we didn't.  But things went great. Sister Goade talked about hope. It truly was amazing. After Church we where able to call Sister Nesmith. She amazing. She said she loves when we call her every week.
Well the day went on and we just tried a few people but nothing happened. Shandora made dinner again for us. After dinner we went to see Sister Upshaw. She was so happy to see us. We had a nice talk with her.

Thought:
"There are....so many kinds of voices in the world".... I admonish you to turn the volume down and to be influenced instead by that still, small voice which will guide you to safety.

Scripture
Ether 12: 27 &37
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
37 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
I love how that we can find our weakness. We may already have and we just need to know how we did it.
I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and how it has blessed me in my life.
I hope all Y'all have a wonderful week! I hope you have the best day of your entire life.
Thanks for all you do.

Just to day Transfer calls are coming up. Monday you will find out who stays or leaves.
Well talk to y'all next week.
Love Y'all!

A Crazy Weird Week: Charlie, January 18th

Hey all Y'all,
Well you may have noticed yesterday was a holiday, so I am emailing today. I am just going to get started off with my email.
Monday was pretty amazing. We just had a very nice relaxing Monday. Well we went to John and Briana's for FHE. So guess what? I was able to help someone with their Family History! That was so much fun. I was really excited for that. Mom you should have seen me. I was going crazy! You would of been very proud of me helping out. It was just the best. I know that I was prepared before my mission when I had that calling at home as a youth and I had a wonderful mom who helped me out as well. Before John and Briana's we had dinner with the Englands. They are a family in the Gray ward. Brother England is the High council man in our group and they wanted to feed us before the transfer ended. We went to Big Chick. It was good.
Tuesday we had our amazing District meeting! It was so good. I really enjoyed it. Sister Goade gave an amazing training on Christlike attributes and then I gave one on Charity and Love. It went so well together. It was so cool. Well after words we just had a normal day after words. Later that night we went to see sister Upshaw. She is amazing. It is so fun to go over and talk with her because she tells us so much. We both learn from each other. After words we went to Bill and Bernice! I love them so much. They make my night when ever things aren't going through.  They love when we come over. They sometimes get worry when we don't come over to say hi. They make sure we stop by and see them before we go in.
Wednesday we had exchanges in Gray! I was able to go to Gray again. It truly was the best! We had pizza with them. It was so good. I got to have the chance to see a less active they have there who has a house that is a tree house. I don't have pictures,( my bad.) but it was so cool.
We were able to support someone and went to a basket ball game. It was so cool. They won!! They had a player who was on fire. She was shootings hoops after one another.
Well after a bit we just had the feeling and went to Walgreen's to get sister Goade's hoodie she wanted and we found someone and had a nice talk with her. It was so cool! It sounded like she wanted to learn even more. It was so cool!
Thursday we switched back and had our amazing lessons with our recent convert Briana and Ms.Hoyt!! They are just on fire. Ms.Hoyt had back surgery  in November and was moving great. She told us she felt great. Later that night we had a lesson with Connie. She made us Hot Coco. She wanted us to say warm while we where talking with her. She is amazing. We talked about Service. And just to say that was truly amazing! We also before Connie's we had a lesson with Charles for a few minutes until he went up to his room. But things are going well with him.
Friday we had our Weekly Planning. A lot went on this day. It wasn't one of those days I enjoyed. It was super sad to see how things went on. I really had a hard time. Things that I know that my savior has helped me with. Well Just to say I found out that I found out that I have a wart on my foot. Just to say it really has bugged me  a lot this transfer so we finally called the Mission Doctor. So pretty soon it is going to be removed.
Well after that the day just fell down. We ended up having to talk with the Elders. I was having such a hard time I asked for a blessing. Just to say I am so grateful for the Priesthood that the men hold in our church. I really know that my Heavenly Father was telling me things that I needed at this time. So my day ended really happy. Thanks to an amazing Companion and the Elders and my Heavenly Father.
Saturday we had a cool thing happen to us. We headed out to see an investigator and just had a bad feeling about going in so we decided to go to our next place. Well we drove past her good friends house and the Elders and John where their building her pump house. Just to say they where grateful we came because they needed something at Wayne's house. So we went down and got what they needed and went back and helped them out for a bit. Just to say Sister Goade and I helped do service in our missionary Clothes. It was so much fun.
Later that day we went to another investigators and her great granddaughter was so excited we where coming. So she drew us 4 pictures on the back of frozen pictures. It was so cute.
Well after words we went to see Sister Upshaw. When we got there; there was 2 police cars. We found out that their was someone who was robbed at gun point. It was crazy.
Sunday we had a Multi-Stake Conference! It was so cool! they had 14 states watching it. SE
The cool part is that we got to sit behind President and Sister Cottle and their family! They meeting was so amazing! I loved Elder Hales talk. He talked about families and how we should have our own Personal Study, but have  a Companion and Family study. That we should pray, read the scriptures! It touched me so much. Knowing I really want to take this into my future family.
After words we at lunch at the Finlinson's! They made sloppy joes! It was so good! We also got a phone call from Bernice at night time wondering if we where going to stop by. It was so cute. So went went over and had a nice talk with her and Bill.

Well Yesterday we had a good day. Got a lot of things done in our amount of time. We had a lot of extra time.
Later that night we went to John and Briana's for FHE! We learned how to gain our own Testimony. He asked us if there was any thing we had to work for to get something. It was so cool how he tied it into the lesson.
A quote that hits me says " Your personal testimony of light and truth will not only bless you and your posterity here in mortality, but it will also accompany you throughout all eternity." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I love how we can take our testimony with us after this life. It is truly amazing. That we can strengthen it so much for others to gain a stronger testimony as well.

2 Nephi 31:20
Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Mormon 9:21
Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.
I love y'all! I hope you have a wonderful week! Have the best day of your entire life.
Know that Heavenly father loves you and is proud of you!

Talk to Y'all next week!

Setting the Bar High: Kallie, January 18th

What a great week!

Tuesday was a pretty interesting week! So, here is why, we went and
marinated in a neighborhood and came across this guy named D_____ he
seemed really receptive at first but then, we went all crazy on us. As
we were leaving he asked us if we believed in Christmas and we of
course said yes! He told us how we were wrong and that Christ would be
ashamed because it doesn't say or mention it in the bible that Christ
celebrates Christmas! He said Christ doesn't like liars and I ended up
quoting a scripture from the Book of Mormon that says "Wo unto the
Liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell!" That's 2 Nephi 9:34 just
in case you wanted to know but, he agreed with us but was sure that we
would be going to hell because he thought we were the ones lying...
That came back and hit us. #wearentlyingthough joke is on him!

Later that night we went and saw one of our less active members and as
we were teaching her, S. Corrigan looked over and raised her eyebrow
and asked "what is that!?" I looked over and it was a huge
cockroach... I screamed and jumped practically in her lap, it was
terrifying. The member came over to smack it away but she lost it...I
was worried it would crawl in my bag or up my skirt... It was a rough
night!

Later in the week we were helping a family pack up there home because
they were moving, the reason why they were moving was because of bed
bugs! Not more bugs!! But anyhoo..we were boxing stuff up and S.
Corrigan and I felt gross and as if there were bugs on us, we couldn't
stay there very long.

It was however  pretty good week! We got members to invite friends to
dinner in there homes! Miracles are happening in Matthews!! Speaking
of miracles it is miracle time!!

Miracles!!!
Miracle #1 It snowed yesterday! I was so excited I ran outside in the
middle of studies and danced in it! I am sure my companion thought I
was Insane! But, it was a miracle. I miss snow, but not the coldness
that comes with it! Minutes later we had sunshine, so it didn't last
too long, but, it was still worth it!

Miracle #2
Transfer calls are here... S. Corrigan and I get to stay together
another transfer! Yay!! We are super excited!  I will most likely be
in Matthews another transfer because she goes home this transfer! I am
excited for her to grow and progress her last transfer, she has
definitely been a great companion and support for me! I have been
blessed with great companions!

My scripture studies have been amazing! I have been able to learn so
much! I will like to share some of the things I have been able to take
away! I have still been pondering a lot about faith, and as I have
started to read the Book of Mormon again it amazes me the strength
that Nephi has, during his entire journey with his brothers pounding
on him and making his life miserable, he still puts trust in God and
prays to him! You can't get any better than that!
I love how the Lord had so much compassion on the people of Nephi! So,
he gave them a liahonna!

Great quote to go along with that thought: "The same Lord who provided
a Liahona for Lehi provides for you and for me today a rare and
valuable gift to give direction to our lives, to mark the hazards to
our safety, and to chart the way, even safe passage--not to a promised
land, but to our heavenly home. The gift to which I refer is known as
your patriarchal blessing. Your blessing is not to be folded neatly
and tucked away. It is not to be framed or published. Rather, it is to
be read. It is to be loved. It is to be followed. Your patriarchal
blessing will see you through the darkest night. It will guide you
through life’s dangers. … Your patriarchal blessing is to you a
personal Liahona to chart your course and guide your life"

I just love how God is always aware of us and our circumstances, when
we struggle we can turn to him, that is where our trust needs to take
place!

Ponderizer:Alma 34:32 I have learned that our clocks are ticking, that
we need to prepare to meet God now! I read a talk today that went
along perfect with my scripture, so I wanted to share a little bit!

"Now, consider how your pathway to eternal life is similar to these
athletes’ “four-minute performance.” You are an eternal being. Before
you were born, you existed as a spirit. In the presence of a loving
Heavenly Father, you trained and prepared to come to earth for a brief
moment and, well, perform. This life is your four minutes. While you
are here, your actions will determine whether you win the prize of
eternal life. The prophet Amulek described, “This life is the time …
to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day …
to perform [your] labors.”

Quote of the Week:
As we do the best we can in each area of our lives, we are, He. Jesus
said, to “continue in patience until ye are perfected.” (D&C 67:13.)
So if God does not reject nor condemn us for having unconquered
weaknesses as we work out our salvation, if he is willing to wait
patiently for our growth toward the ideals, what right do we have to
condemn or despise ourselves while we are in the process of learning
to overcome them?”
In the Arms of His Love - Steven Cramer

Love you all very much!! Have a blessed week!
