My Mission was the best- Charlie's last post from Georgia, 29 August 2016

Well Hey all y'all,
Well I just want to say that my mission has just been the best. I am so grateful for the chance I was able to come here. It has helped me a lot. I don't know what I would have done if I never would have extended for 15 months from the Salt Lake City South Mission. This gospel is amazing! I was listening to a talk by John Bytheway. It's called the best 3 hrs. It is so amazing! It talks about how this Church Loves its teenagers. Knowing that a teenager said a prayer and brought this church back together. So cool!!
Sister Walker came up with something amazing. Missionaries are Spiritual EMT! We are helping everyone out as we can. Some are asking for help and others aren't. But that doesn't mean we can stop helping them. We are all missionaries; even without the name tag. All the prophets have said Every member is a mission. I know that is true. I will be a missionary when I get home. I can't wait for that to happen. I know that there are those who need us, They need that light we have to help them through out their life.
I know that we are put in a place at the right time. I know I was called to serve a mission at the right time. I know that things can be really hard in the mission field but Heavenly Father has always said, " I never said it will be easy but I said it will be worth it." For all those Future missionaries out there it is worth it to serve.

So just to say this week has been really fun of emotions. I just can't believe I am emailing my last letter as a Full time Called Missionary. This week has been great. One of the members who feed me bought me a cake because that was my last meal with her.  It was so nice.
Also yesterday Sister Walker and I got the chance to sing in Church. The really cool thing was in the beginning of my mission. So in Salt Lake City.. I was able to sign with my Companion Sister Bangerter and now near my end of my mission I got the chance to Sing with My Companion. So cool!
This week we notice we were really low on food. #End of the month/ going to food storage.
So just to say we were stopping by a house around 6. Still not having dinner yet. Just to say the member fed us food. Tender moment. It was the best.
Also just to say Yesterday a member gave a food for lunch and another member gave us food after we had dinner with them. Just to say we have food now!! Heavenly Father does watch over his Missionaries!!

I am excited for seeing my family but I am really sad to leave the people here who have touched  me in Georgia. I am so grateful for them and all what they have taught me.
I glad that things have worked out and I have learned wonderful things in my life.
Also sad news this week. We got told on Friday that our district leader got moved to the Tifton District and that Albany is a district now. I thought so; there is 6 of us here. But it was sad to lose a set of Elders.
So I will let y'all know what we are doing today! A member wants to feed all the missionaries and just to say we are also going fishing!! I can't wait. It is going to be a lot of fun. Also this week we are going to be like missionaries and work hard to the end. I know that as missionaries focus on the work and really work hard to the end the mission is going to really change you so much.
Just to day I have really had a wonderful day so far. We where able to help someone answer her questions about what she is Reading in the Book of Mormon. It has been wonderful helping her out.

I sure do hope that everyone has a wonderful week. Always know that if you have hard days, all you need to do is to Pray. He will always be there for you. He is waiting there for us to ask Him for Help.
I Sure do hope all y'all have a wonderful Week!
Sorry that I don't have any new pictures. But Know that I pray for y'all every day.

I want to let all y'all know that I know that Jesus Christ Suffered for all of our mistakes in our life. That he is our Savior.  I truly know that Heavenly Father is always there. I have felt him so much in my life. I am so grateful for Christ for all he has done for me in my life.
I know that families are together for ever. That I will see my dad again; knowing that death is not an end. That I will be able to see my loved one again.
I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it several times and find things that I learn every time. It is so amazing to know how the scriptures can truly help you in your life. I know that great things will come our way as long as we try our best. Heavenly Father and our Savior are always there. I know that Joseph Smith's prayer was answered and that he brought the True Church back to the earth. I know that he was a prophet of God. I know that we have a prophet that leads and guides us in these days. I know that I was called by a prophet of god to the Georgia Macon Mission. I am so grateful for that.
I love this gospel so much. It has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am grateful that families are so important in this church. I don't know what I would do with out my family. They mean so much to me.

I love y'all!! See all y'all soon!!

A fun and crazy week- 15 August 2016

Hey all y'all,
Well this week has been Crazy!!
First I want to wish my Sister Jesse a very Happy 16th Birthday.
So this week has been very fun. So we moved apartments this week. Super crazy. It is a brand new one as well. Everything works just fine.
Just to say our AC likes to put our apartment at 66 degrees in the morning when it is set at 74. But it's  okay.
This week we had ZTM. It was just wonderful. Just to say the spirit in the room was so strong. Of course it was my last one. I had a rough time with that. We talked about how me need to get over our fears and talk to everyone we see. Because we don't know who is prepared. As we do we will be able to answer their questions.
So they gave the departing missionaries a time to bare their last testimony. I know that I have learned so much in my mission. It has helped me along the way in so many ways. I noticed something really cool. Sister Goade pointed it out to me when we where companions. When I bear my testimony I don't stutter. The spirit brings it clear. I am so grateful for that. They played "God be with you till we meet again" I just was in tears in the first couple of words. I was so sad to leave this behind but know that it was going to be worth it. Then I could feel my dad's spirit in the room. It was wonderful. I knew that he was watching over me. Letting me know that he was there and that everything was going to be all right.

I am so grateful for this gospel. It is amazing. Heavenly Father works in wonderful ways. To help us learn and grow. We all have trails and we will over come them.

Saturday we had Stake conference. Which was amazing! Elder Joseph W. Sitati came and spoke to the Tifton Stake. It was just wonderful. I learned so much. There theme for the conference was to Answer the Call. I just thought that was cool. Knowing that if the Lord has a special calling like a mission, or even a calling in the church we should be prepared and accept it. There is a reason why you are called. It will help us in so many ways.

Sunday our mission President spoke at stake conference and talked about how we are all Disiples of Jesus Christ. We caring  his name upon us. I thought that was way cool.

I sure do love all y'all. Thanks for all y'all do.
You are the best!!
I sure do hope things go well for y'all this week.

JAZLYN GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!!! Charlie, 1 August 2016

One of the new elders sent to Albany is one of Jack's best friends from elementary school, Wes Oldroyd.  His older sister was one of Charlie's best friends.  She said it's like serving with Jack, although Wes isn't quite as obnoxious.  :)

Hey all Y'all,
Well this week was so amazing. So just to say we set goals to work towards every week. Guess what? Sister Walker and I got 8/9. So close! We just needed a few more investigators at Church. But it was super amazing!!!
So we had a Baptism this week which was so amazing. Back story on her... She had been coming to Church for 2 years and someone finally told the missionaries that she wasn't a member. She is amazing. She is so far the only member in her family. Her Mom and her younger sister are on a different date. They are getting close as well.

One cool thing that happened Yesterday!!!! The Bishop comes up to me after church and says this little girl who is 9 or 10 who hasn't been baptized yet. And she really wants to! Just when Sister Walker walks by a little girl she comes up and says" I'm getting baptized and the bishop told me to come talk to you." It was so cute and funny all at the same time. Just to say her dad is a member. She is 10 and wasn't able to get baptized because her dad had cancer. She really wanted her dad to baptize her. The spirit was so strong in the room as he told us about it. Well just to say she really wanted to get baptized the next day. We told her she had to wait at least 3 weeks. She was a little sad but agreed to it. So we have her on date for August 20!! I can't wait.

Just to say Saturday before the baptism we went out updating Referrals.. One of the referrals was very interesting. He came out gave a side hug to Sister Walker and then gave her a Kiss on the cheek. I was praying so hard in my heart that he would not give me one. Just to say he was drunk and we where the only white people(girls) around. Just to say we had another referral right next to his house. We are going to try back another time.

Also we have more Elders serving in Albany GA... Just to say Book of Mormon class felt so big because of the 4 Elders and 2 Sisters. We may have to get a bigger room soon!! But Hey it was so cool!!

Thought from my Studies: I was reading a General Conference talk this morning and it was just the best. It really helped me out.
Humility is essential to gain the blessings of the gospel. Humility enables us to have broken hearts when we sin or make mistakes and makes it possible for us to repent. Humility enables us to be better parents, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, neighbors and friends.
On the other hand, unnecessary pride can dissolve family relationships, break up marriages, and destroy friendships. It is especially important to remember humility when you feel contention rising in your home. Think of all the heartache you can avoid by humbling yourself to say, “I’m sorry”; “That was inconsiderate of me”; “What would you like to do?”; “I just wasn’t thinking”; or “I’m very proud of you.” If these little phrases were humbly used, there would be less contention and more peace in our homes. -Be Thou Humble By Elder Steven E. Snow
I Sure do hope y'all have a wonderful week. I sure do love all Y'all.
Also I got a package from my amazing Sister Lonnie!! She is the best!! Got it right before the baptism!! Made my afternoon!!
I Just love being a missionary. I just wish I could go on forever and ever. But I know that when I get home I will still be a missionary but not with a name tag.
I hope y'all have the best day of your entire life.

Transfer Calls came in...I'm... Charlie, 25 July 2016

Staying with Sister Walker in Albany!!! I am so excited. It is going to be great!!
Well just to say this week was pretty fun. Sister Walker and I had one of our investigators who had her interview for her Baptism for this up coming Saturday!! I'm so excited. Can't wait!!!
Sister Walker and I did some walking around/ saving miles.
We walked around Leesburg and thought this one house was really close. Just to say It was 1 mile away. A.K.A. we took the long way. But it was worth it. We had a very nice talk.
After that we got to help the Activity Day Girls make a scripture case. I really enjoyed it. I felt like a little kid again.
Sister Walker and I went to Blakely again. Just to say we always go see this lady and when ever we do it rains. So funny. Just to say we really got caught in some bad weather. The temperature dropped 20 degrees. Just to say it felt so nice.
Saturday we had our Ward Pioneer Pinewood Derby!! It was so much fun!! Just to say I did one of the games and there was a cookie on my forehead and one of the members smashed it on my head. And then just laughed. It was so funny.
After that we had our Transfer Calls. Just to say it was really cool.
Just to say we had 149 people at church last Sunday. That is a record for Albany in the past months. Woot Woot!!
Well we went to Cuthburt on Sunday. Saw a few people and came back and saw a sister in the ward. It was so much fun. We sang her some Hymns.
Just to say I can't believe how fast my mission has gone. Just to say one of the Elders wrote on our white boards how many days I have left and all my personal goals to help me.
Also excited news.... We are getting a set of new Elders. So Albany will have 6 missionaries!! So cool!!
Also one of the Elders played the bagpipes for a member in the ward. Just to say the videos are awesome.
I sure do love y'all. Thanks for all y'all do. Have a wonderful week.
Also I am so grateful for the Pioneers for all they did. Having the courage to travel so many miles. Thought:

A fun, fun week: CharLynn, 11 July 2016

Hey all y'all,
Well this week was so amazing. But first off I just want to say that I know that Heavenly Father watches over us.
So after emailing y'all last week Sister Walker and I went contacted referrals again.. Just to say Salt Lake keeps calling us and telling us that we need to contact our Referrals. Just to say we have over 300 and the Elders have over 100. So just to say the Elders have bikes and we have a car. So we did what we could. So we tried some and we had some great lessons. It did rain for a bit. Just to say I was glad to be in the car when it did. That night one of our dear Friends Cher shot out fireworks for us. So this is July 5.. We had so much fun. Just to say I only got one bug bite. It was so cool....
So we met our mission President!!! President and Sister Grayson are amazing. I loved how we all got to talk to them one on one in a line. It was so cool.
The funny part he asked if Sister Walker and I were the Sister Training Leaders.
So later that day we taught one of our Progressing Investigators Family and followed up on the Law of Chasity. Also we had to push their date but they asked to push it which was awesome! Later that day we had Book of Mormon Class. It was so much fun. I just loved it.
Saturday we have a big day. We left at 8 in the morning to head to Blakely. Just to say we where away from Albany for 13 hrs. It was a very long drive. Our GPS wanted us to leave our mission a couple of times which was funny. But Sister Walker knew what roads to take. So we had quit a few lessons. It was really neat. I just loved it. We taught a lot of Restoration lessons and about the Book of Mormon. So much fun. While we were driving home we had the thunderstorm right over our heads. The funny part it the service was going in and out on our phone so the elders were getting a little worried for us. But we got a call from one of our investigators and helped her out for a bit. She was so grateful.
Sunday was crazy. Our plans for the day changed because we got dropped by someone and our appointments canceled on us. Later we found out that there was a thunder storm/ Tornado watch in the area we were at. But nothing bad happened which was wonderful. We just got rain for a bit.
Later that night we had dinner with these cute older couple.. Just to say they invited me to come to their mission reuion in Septemeber. Funny. Also funny fact they had only been members for 9 years and got called to serve as Mission President and Wife in Idaho.  So cool!!!  He and his wife now are missionaries who take pictures for the church. So we has a couple of pictures of Sister Walker and I.. So we may be in the  ensign soon....

Albany, Georgia!!! 5 July 2016

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!! (late)
You probably figured it out why I am emailing today and not yesterday. Yep all the library's were closed so we couldn't email! I am so grateful for those who fought for our country! They have truly have blessed my life. I will always be grateful for my Grandpa Dibble's Dad and Uncle for all they did in the wars! They truly have helped me out in my own life.
Last week after email Sister Walker and I went to see someone who could only meet on Mondays during the day. So we went and it went well. She is a Pastor. Funny thing she order a book of Mormon. We think she may preach with it. But hey it was so awesome to see her. After that someone from California wanted us to find a less active in our ward. So we did that. Didn't find her and then we where about to finish our p-day and we found out that we had a dinner with the Bishop which we didn't even know. It was super crazy. He has a dog name Scooby. I thought it was so cool. Just to say we drive up to his house and there are signs that read. KEEP OUT!! 3x a BEWARE OF DOG. and PRIVATE PROPERTY. It was really funny. We called making sure it was the right house. Sister Walker then said . This could only happen at the Bishop's house. We came home after a long Monday and said to each other. "We didn't even have a p-day." So the week felt like a long week. But it really wasn't.
So Tuesday I got asked to give a training in District meeting.  Well just to say the Elders took so long that I was voted to do it the last district meeting. Which there will be almost the entire Zone will be there. It is so crazy. We saw a few people and we went to the Relief Society Activity. Theme was.. What to do when the lights go out? It was so much fun. I really enjoyed it. We had yummy douche oven food.
During the rest of the week we tried a lots of people. Working hard to contacting referrals. I have never had so many referrals in my life. But hey it is so much fun meeting new people each week.
We taught our Investigator Briana and her sister Koolaide the 10 commandments. It was so much fun. I love doing it with the hands. It brings so much joy when others get it.
We had a meeting with our ward mission leader over the phone. That was really fun. We just sat on the floor having our meeting.
Sunday was wonderful. You really could feel the spirit in the chapel when others bore their testimonies. Just to say we went out all day to a far area. It was so much fun. Sister Walker and I got free peach pie-homemade. Peaches, blueberries and tomatoes!!!
Later that evening we came home and  we had a little alone time. So I just read quotes I got from my Cousin and I read one of them and it just got to me. I was just in tears and then the Elders called. Which was so random because they weren't the District leader. I just knew that I just needed to talk with someone for that moment. Then our district leader called and told us the plans for the week. Just to say.... He thought Sister Walker and I where sister Training leaders. I just laughed telling Sister Walker.
So Fouth of July.... So it was lock down at 6. So Sister Walker and I  went to Cher's and played with Clay!!! So much fun. We had pizza and crazy bread. Then we came back home and watch a few church movies.. Also we had a mini firework show in our back window by our neighbors. It was so funny.
Later that night we get a text from the Assistants reminding us about MLC.. It was so funny. We told them that they are the 2nd ones who have remained us about it and they we aren't Sister Training leaders. We then looked at each other and said maybe we need to be at MLC? then laughed.
It was a wonderful week.
I sure hope y'all have a wonderful week!!!
Also this week we went fishing!! So much fun. We used Crickets as bait... And Yes I crabbed the Crickets with my bare hands. It was so much fun. I am doing things that I don't think I would ever do in my entire life.

Albany, Georgia- 27 June 2016

Hey All y'all,
Well things are going great here in Albany Georgia!! We went to this ladies house and we helped her get  to know her I Pad better. We watched spiritual videos it was so amazing. She told us this what what she needed. Just to say Sister Walker and I put 3 people on date. It was so cool, because sister Walker knew they are ready. So when she asked them the question the mom just started crying. You could really feel the spirit in the room.
So on Tuesday we had a wonderful meeting with President and Sister Cottle. The sad thing was it was their last meeting with us. After words we got to give them a hug. When I hugged President Cottle it was like getting a hug from my dad. It was so touching. I will never forget it. Of course after hugging the Sisters were just crying. But we did take pictures before the hugs. Well just to say things are going to go well.
You want to learn something new. Think of a Kit Kat. So the word Kat stands for (Gospel reason)
Keep the Commandments
Always Remember Him
Take his name upon us.

So cool Right. Learned it from Sister Walker.
I just want to say.. There is another McCulloch out!! Shout out to my younger Brother Elder (Jack) McCulloch. He left to the MTC on June 22, 2016. So cool to think he is out. So many times I thought of like; "Jack is doing this right now or He is at a meeting, etc.
So Just to say we went to Blackly that day as well. Just to say it is was amazing to have a member come out with us. It was about 50ish miles one way. So crazy. But hey it was so worth it. Well things went great. we saw a few people and taught this family of all girls the Plan of Salvation. I really love teaching this Lesson. It really strengthns my Testimony because I know I will see my Dad again. That he is doing the same thing what I am doing. I also know that they watch over us. Helping us along the way to make those right choice; so we can come back to them again.

You want to know what is crazy. Sister Walker and I planned for week 3. Wow time sure does fly by.  Also it is getting hotter and hotter. So the summer in Georgia is coming back. I sure do hope things go well.

I hope y'all have a wonderful week. Thanks for all you do. Have the best day of your entire life. You are amazing!! Remember Who you are and what you stand for!

Happy Memorial Day!

Hey all y'all,
This week went by a little too fast! So just to say I am so grateful for those who have fought for us. I always have on my mind my Mom's Grandpa Jack Anderson and his brother William Anderson and so many others.
Last week was fun. We where able to have this amazing meal. A Mexican Meal! (Mom you are going to love it)! :) Also the little girl( Charlie) was crazy before dinner. When it got close to the end she was a sleep. It was so cute.
Later that week we showed up to someone house and they opened the door and said it's the sisters! We get talking and they told us they really needed us at that time. It was so cool. That happened a lot this week.
We had exchanges this week! I was with Sister Pilimia! (one of my MTC companions). Just to say exchanges always turn out with your plans following through. But it went well. We saw those who we needed to see.
We had the Pray for M.E. with a couple and they got so excited for it. It was so cool of how one simple message can effect someone to act upon it.

Well we helped someone move in! Finally got to do my part of the move mom but someone else. I got super excited when she told us we could put her kitchen together. She even told us that she has never had someone put it together and it is usually her job; but she was okay with us doing it.
Well after a while she told us to make a cake for her husband's birthday on Sunday. He didn't know about the cake so it was going to be a surprise for him. So when we get there he opened the door and said "You lied to me honey." We where laughing and having a good time with it.
Also we had like 3 dinners on Sunday. A less active feed us food when we came over. Then we had the birthday dinner and then the elders surprised us with a dinner by a family who is from Brazil. Their food was so good. Pictures below.
So we didn't email yesterday so we hanged out with the missionaries in Hinesville. It was so much fun. We did some sports outside. Yep my nose got a little sunburn. But it was worth it.
Can't believe May is over and June is on its way.
Also we met a guy in Walmart and he gave us his number. Explains picture..
I am so grateful that I am here out on my mission at this time. I'm So grateful for Jesus Christ! He has done so much for all of us. I don't know where I would be with out him. He is truly the best.

I sure do love all y'all.  I hope you have the best day of your entire life!
